Minecraft Halloween SeasonSource: Mojang Studios

What you need to know

  • Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has the Marketplace where players can buy new maps, adventures, skins, texture packs, and more.
  • There are also themed Collections, either for different events, seasons, or just because it makes sense.
  • The latest Minecraft Marketplace Collection comes courtesy of Halloween, lovingly known as the spooky season.
  • There are also some freebies with a character creator item and a Halloween-themed skin pack.

Spooky season is upon us, and we already knew that Minecraft intended to join the festivities with Halloween-themed celebrations announced across the franchise. Minecraft's ARPG-flavored little sibling, Minecraft Dungeons, already got its Halloween update, adding new challenges and difficulties, but now it's Minecraft's turn, with a new Halloween Collection in the Minecraft Marketplace.

Interested players can head over to the Minecraft Marketplace and take a look at the Halloween Collection for some spooky texture packs, skin packs, adventures, maps, and more. The eagle-eyed amongst you might also find a free character creator item to redeem, as well as a free spooky skin pack to deck your Minecraft character out in.

You won't have long to take advantage of this, as any discounts and free items will return to their regular premium price once Minecraft's Halloween celebration ends on November 2, 2020.
