If you've been looking for a reason to give Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands a shot on Xbox One, the wait is over. Ubisoft has now launched a free trial for the game on consoles, allowing the skeptical to try the game for free before pulling the trigger on a purchase.
Specifically, the trial will let you play the full game for up to five hours. In that time, it appears you'll be able to check out both the single-player gameplay, as well as online co-op.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands hit Xbox One in March as a massive open-world tactical shooter with an emphasis on co-operative play. Set in Bolivia, the story of Wildlands has you working to take down a drug cartel known as Santa Blanca. In our review of the game, we found Wildlands to be a fun, if uninspired experience.
If you want to take advantage of the trial, you can grab it now from the Ghost Recon: Wildlands store listing on your Xbox One. Just keep in mind that, if this is like other timed demos, you'll want to make sure you fully close out of the game when you put it down to prevent the timer from ticking away while you aren't actually playing.
Once you're done with the trial, the full Ghost Recon: Wildlands experience is also available to buy starting at $59.99.
